What the work looks like

The visits an HHA gets offered.

Personal care

Bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting under the agency plan of care. The most common home health visit, and the one most often left unfilled.

Meals and household support

Meal prep, light housekeeping and laundry when the plan of care includes them. Often bundled with a personal care visit on the same stop.

Medication reminders

Reminders and observation, with anything unusual flagged to the supervising nurse from inside the visit.

Respite for family caregivers

Longer visits that give a spouse or adult child a break. Repeat patients are routed to the aide who already knows them.

One offer, itemized

Every dollar is on the offer before you accept it.

Base rate for the visit type. Mileage from where you are. A boost when the county is short or the roads are bad. Add them up and that is what hits your account. Rayva's fee is paid by the agency or family, never taken from your rate.

What Nebraska asks of an HHA, and how Rayva handles it.

No separate state HHA license
Nebraska does not issue a stand-alone home health aide certificate. Most Nebraska HHAs are on the Nurse Aide Registry, and Rayva accepts an active CNA listing as your credential.
Medicare's 75-hour rule
Medicare-certified home health agencies require aides to have 75 hours of training, including 16 supervised clinical hours, plus a competency evaluation by an RN. Rayva records your training and competency documents once and shares them with each agency.
Competency evaluation
If you were trained by an agency rather than a CNA program, Rayva accepts the agency's RN-signed competency evaluation. If you need one, we connect you with a partner agency that can complete it.
Supervised every 14 days
Medicare requires an RN supervisory visit at least every 14 days for aides on skilled cases. Rayva schedules those visits automatically and pays the RN for them, so it never lands on you.

I'm not a CNA. Can I still join?
If you have completed 75 hours of home health aide training with a competency evaluation, yes. If you only have on-the-job experience, sign up anyway: we will tell you exactly which document is missing and how to get it.
Is this different from working for an agency?
The visits still come from agencies and families and still run on a plan of care. What changes is that you see the full price before you accept, you set your own radius and hours, and no single agency controls your schedule.
Do I get paid for driving?
Yes. Mileage between your location and the patient is priced into every offer at a per-mile rate you can see. It is the single biggest change aides tell us they want.
What if I only want a few visits a week?
That is fine. There are no minimums, no acceptance score and no penalties for passing on an offer.
What about liability and insurance?
Every visit booked through Rayva carries professional liability coverage, included. Occupational accident coverage is available at group rates.
